Bellator is going Belly-Up

Created: 12/2/13

Good sources say Bellator is relinquishing its higher paid fighters in order to avoid unpaid contract debt. I was told that there is no one willing to purchase the "library rights" or contracts that Bellator owns. So instead of being in debt to fighters in a "debunked/sinking" promotion, its easier to "let them go". Do not be surprised if you see x4 or x5 more "top" contenders & poster boy champs being "released" by Bellator in the next couple months.

The clouded Viacom investment blanket is tough to iron out but if you look close, the higher ups are cutting losses & covering tracks.

Its a WRAP, folks!

With the money that Viacom is wasting, even though they have it, this was coming. Just didnt think it would be this fast. Thank god for Eddie and Michael among others. both of those guys should have been in the UFC. Cant wait. Phone Post

The sooner Eddie and Chandler are I'm the UFC, the better. Hopefully the video rights can be picked up for cheap too, for prom videos for when they both are signed. Phone Post

They just signed a bunch of big name fighters within the last year or so and now they are going out of business? Seems like they are pulling the plug a little too soon. P.s. Source? Phone Post 3.0

If this is true it's a sad day for mma. Fighters need opportunity outside of the UFC. I hope this is not true Phone Post 3.0

With the revenue made off of the tv deal, ads and sponsorships, Bellator is doing fine.

This goes SO much deeper then Bellator calling it quits. The Greg Jackson, Quinton vs Tito PPV fail & the Couture beef are are just small pointers.

Like I said, lift up the covers & look for yourselves. I cant take all the credit. Phone Post

No problem, dude. I'm just interested where this is coming from. Anybody from 2010 and beyond I would've called troll but you're an old-timer. I don't expect you would say this out of the blue.
